One of the best full-frame cameras for reasonable price
It’s a very close call between the Nikon Z6 and the Sony A7 III for the title of ‘best full-frame mirrorless camera’. We think the excellent handling and full performance of the former give it the upper hand, but the Sony A7 III still wins in three areas: battery life, its excellent Eye AF, and its broader range of native FE lenses. The A7 III has become a firm favorite with enthusiasts and professionals in recent years, and for good reason. Unlike the A7R IV and A7S II, which are more specific, the A7III is a camera for everyone, whether they take photos or videos, action images, or still subjects, indoors or out. The sensor is a modest 24MP, but its backlit design allows for better light pickup, while the advantage of sensor-based stabilization means you don’t have to worry about this being on your lenses, which is something many other cameras don’t. Mirrors do not have a standard. Add to that a 710-shot battery life, impressive for a mirrorless camera, a host of video-specific features, and the EyeAF feature for sharp portraits.
