A brilliant camera for sports and wildlife
The G9 sits beside Panasonic’s premium GH5 and GH5S models in the Lumix G line. While the GH series has always set out to appeal to videographers, the G9 is bound to meet the demands of serious photographers who focus on still images. When shooting continuously in its AF-S mode, the G9 can burst at 12 fps for up to 60 frames in RAW, or at 60 fps for 50 frames in RAW when activating the camera’s electronic shutter. By switching the camera to its continuous AF (AF-C) mode, the burst speed drops, but to a very respectable 9fps with the mechanical shutter or 20fps with the electronic shutter.
